Earlier, news broke that Jason White will join the TRICON Garage NASCAR Truck Series team. However, this has brought about an interesting and unusual situation. There are times when some drivers share the same first name. Examples include Chase Elliott/Chase Briscoe, Kyle Busch/Kyle Larson, Ty Gibbs/Ty Dillon, and more. Or in the case of siblings—Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch.
However, in the Truck Series, it appears that there are going to be two Jason Whites on the track—the second being fielded by Reaume Brothers Racing. Now, this wouldn’t have been a problem if they were not sharing the same piece of tarmac. Unfortunately, that very scenario is going to happen at the Daytona International Speedway. The only difference between the two drivers is that one is American and the other is Canadian.

NASCAR fans had an absolute hoot with the name twinning
Let’s just say, a fair number of fans will be feeling sorry for the commentators. Especially if both Jasons are close to each other on track. Obviously, twin jokes were aplenty and some even wondered how the graphics would handle the matter. Another fan jokingly imitated a commentator, saying, “It’s the Jason and Jason show as we come off of turn 4. You know who I’m pullin’ for; it’s Jason White.”

Some people were sympathetic and even brought up similar examples. A fan cited the example of the Late Model Series, where two drivers named Justin Carroll are competing. The only way to distinguish them is the fact that their middle names are different. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for two drivers called Jesse Michael Williams. So the two of them were assigned nicknames, “Big Williams” and “Little Williams.”
We had two Jesse Michael Williams's on my last ship. Both were the same rate and rank. Had to label them "Big Williams" and "Little Williams" on the attendance sheet.

Amusingly, at East Bay's Winternationals in the Modified division, Chris Wilson (KY) and Chris Wilson (TN) were racing against each other.

Finally, there are two drivers named Chris Wilson, though one hails from Kentucky and the other from Tennessee. Some fans even jokingly shared a video game clip where Kevin Harvick was racing against multiple clones of himself. At the end of the day, both Jason Whites will be competing in the same race often, so commentators will have to be vigilant and creative.
