Kyle Larson might have clinched a nail-biter at Kansas, but let’s be real—when Taylor Swift enters the scene, she steals the spotlight. Ever since she paired up with Travis Kelce, both the NFL star and Swift have seen their popularity shoot through the roof. Swifties are cheering louder than ever, and even folks who weren’t big fans before are now nodding along because, hey, she’s with Travis Kelce.
And guess what? Even Larson’s a swiftie, somewhat! Surprising right? While he might not vibe with her music, he finds himself going to her concerts to keep his kid smiling.

Last month, Kyle Busch was caught in full girl-dad mode, painting his daughter’s nails. Now, it looks like Kyle Larson is following suit. NASCAR dads can be a big deal at times. However, Larson might not be doing mani-pedis, but he took it up a notch by hitting up a Taylor Swift concert. Even though he’s known to dislike the bedazzle around being a “swiftie,” he does appreciate her music, and it seems he’s put that aside for some quality dad time.
So, how do we know Larson’s had a change of heart? Well, he spilled the beans on Instagram through his stories. His first story showed him with his wife and daughter in the car, captioned with a chuckle, “Here we go! 😂.“ Then, he shared a video from the concert with Swift owning the stage. The final snap? A sea of fans soaking up the Swift magic. While other NASCAR drivers like Kenny Wallace and Chase Elliott have openly jumped on the Swiftie bandwagon, Larson stands fairly far from them.

Fans even dug up Larson’s old tweets from 2012 where he was less than thrilled about Swift’s success, calling her a “has been,” slamming her appearances with a “#pathetic,” and critiquing her awards as “rigged.”
In fact, back in the day in 2018, Larson confessed to Jeff Gluck and shared, “She departed from country music a little bit there, so I stopped listening to Taylor Swift as much. We kind of lost touch with each other. And I was never a big Taylor Swift superfan like a lot of teenagers were growing up. She just didn’t do it for me.” He even said that meeting her wouldn’t be on his wishlist. But wait, is there a change of heart? We just heard him say he appreciated her hard work! In a recent post by NASCAR on Instagram, Larson denied being a “swiftie” at all but did say he “appreciates her music.“

Larson’s been definitely listening to more of her songs, probably because his daughter and wife Katelyn is a Swiftie. This unexpected move, however, seems to have ruffled some feathers among the fans.

Even though Larson has said those old tweets slamming Taylor Swift were from “a long, long time ago,“ fans aren’t ready to let it slide now that he’s now showing up at her concerts. One fan, dragging up his past tweets, half-joked, “We won’t forget the tweets Kyle.” Another was baffled that Larson wasn’t part of the T-Swift craze during his teen years, quipping, “Wow. Shocking. 18 yr old man wasnt a fan of tswift cry more.”
One Swiftie chimed in with, “Haters are just fans in disguise” suggesting Larson might’ve been a secret fan all along. Meanwhile, a few folks threw around some zingers like, “Guess karma really is a bitch.😂😂😂😂” and “You live long enough to see yourself become the villain… or a swiftie lmao.”
On the flip side, some supporters defended Larson, pointing out he’s probably just being a good dad. Comments like, “He has a daughter now. It’s over for him,” “He’s going as a dad. Not a fan that’s for sure” and “The sacrifices of fatherhood,“ highlighted that he’s just trying to make his kid happy.

Others noted it’s pretty normal for parents to set aside their own preferences for their kids, saying, “Gee, it’s almost like he’s a normal father who’s willing to put his personal feelings aside to make his kids happy or something.” One person summed it up nicely: “He’s a good dad 😂.”
Guess it’s high time fans stop slamming Larson, as he has seen a shift in himself. what’s your take on Kyle Larson starting to like Taylor Swift’s songs again? Should Kyle Larson have skipped posting his concert getaway on social media to avoid the drama?
