NASCAR has recently been under a lot of heat for the way it reacted to the Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Kyle Busch fight. Making the most of the heated altercation and creating a buzz on social media, NASCAR certainly caught a lot of attention and hype after the All-Star race. However, they reprimanded Stenhouse Jr for his actions, punching Busch with a $75,000 fine. This was the biggest fine issued by the officials to a driver involved in a fight.

This was indeed baffling for many supporters and even drivers. Interestingly, Chase Elliott wasn’t aware of the hefty fine NASCAR handed to the JTG Daughtery Racing driver. Shocked by the revelation, the HMS star was struggling to wrap his head around the situation, especially with NASCAR milking the fight online for some views and clicks.

A lot has been said about NASCAR and the way they handled the Stenhouse Jr vs. Kyle Busch brawl. The 2023 Daytona 500 winner, reacting to the fine, shared, “I don’t have to say a lot about the fines or the situations; I think everybody else is doing it for us.” And truth be told, that has been the case for the last week or so.

Following up on the trend for the whole week, Chase Elliott shared his opinion on the hefty fine that NASCAR issued to Stenhouse Jr. Baffled and unable to comprehend the amount, the HMS star in an interview said, “75? Thousand? Wow. I know that he got fined, but 75 grand. Yeah, that’s a lot. A lot of money. That seems wild to me.”

Elliott was even lost for words in trying to comprehend his thoughts on the situation. But he soon took a stance against NASCAR and called out their hypocrisy. “You’re going to fine him but you’re going to promote it like what we’re doing? That’s a little strange to me (…) It’s not okay but we’re gonna blast it all over everything to get more clicks. I don’t really agree with that.”

In the aftermath of the whole drama that ensued last weekend, Ricky Stenhouse Jr has reportedly squashed his beef with Kyle Busch. But, the same cannot be said for the 2-time NASCAR Cup Series champion. Especially after he felt ambushed by Stenhouse Jr and his crew at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

It all started in the first lap of the race when Stenhouse Jr aggressively made a pass ahead of Busch. But in doing so, he left no room for the #8 car and rammed into the wall. Busch miraculously saved his car from crashing but came back to return the favor and bumped the #47 car into the wall. Thus ending his race early. However, at the time, the RCR driver didn’t know about Stenhouse Jr’s intentions and focused on his racing.

Even before Busch could explain himself after the race, all hell broke loose, and he found himself on the receiving end of a fistfight. Sharing his view on the incident on Kenny Wallace’s YouTube channel, he explained, “I had no idea his comments of hold my watch or, hey if you wanna see something afterward, hang out until afterward. Nobody told me, so I felt like I went into an ambush blind with him and his team. Tried to hold my own the best I could, fighting off five different guys, and came out of there with no black eye.”

Going by Rowdy’s history of running into people and being involved in fights, it’s fair to say we haven’t seen the end of this beef.
