Most of the time, it is the driver that takes the bigger chunk of credit whenever they win a race in NASCAR. But the truth is, behind any driver’s success, there’s a whole team, and the most important part of that team perhaps, certainly in terms of direct consequences, are the members of the pit crew. Their importance is still somewhat understated in the sport, but not in the eyes of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Junior recently made the best use of his Twitter Blue subscription as he penned down a long note about the importance of pit crew members in NASCAR, and why they should be celebrated.
The Hall of Famer pointed to the upcoming All-Star weekend in which the pit crew competition becomes a big deciding factor in any driver’s race outcome.

As per Junior, a great performance from a pit crew can raise their profile amid the fans and inside the garage. He also emphasized on the importance of the competition in subject and hoped it remains a big part of this weekend in the future too.
“The Pit Crew Competition was always great at shining a light on the crew members and creating stars. I hope it’s a revived tradition that continues highlighting just how talented and well-trained they are,” he wrote.
