Kyle Busch has been in the sport for a long time now. By this point, he has seen both some amazing highs and some equally serious lows. However, after the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, the veteran driver had a few words for his fellow drivers on the grid. Rowdy went on to mention how there has been a lack of respect among drivers. With this, he reflected on the past when other drivers would maintain positive lines of communication after an incident had taken place between them.
Discussing this, his former teammate, Denny Hamlin, too gave his take on the aspect of drivers not giving respect any longer.

On his Actions Detrimental podcast, Hamlin mentioned, “fair statement, I can’t refute it… But it certainly has changed. Absolutely, within our sport. .. also tried to talk to people and it’s like, it just doesn’t get through. And so you just feel like you’re done talking. Right? And so it is a shame…”
Further adding, “I have talked about Kyle Busch, I think he’s, you know, one of the fairest people in the racetrack. So I think he’s if you look at how competitive he is, and how few of incidents he’s been in or started. Like, he’s got a really good ratio.”
“So he’s probably somebody that we should listen to, in that instance, but I agree with him,” he concluded.

During last weekend’s race at Atlanta, Busch, as reported by nascar.nbcsports.com, had apparently mentioned, “We have completely lost any sense of respect in the garage between the drivers at all.”
Busch’s comments about the lack of respect across the field were fueled by the on-track altercation between Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain during the race at Phoenix Raceway. Busch had criticized Hamlin’s intentional attempt to wreck Chastain. However, that was not the only incident that led him to make those comments.
Aside from the Hamlin-Chastain incident, the RCR driver also spoke about the incident with Chandler Smith. Busch showcased his displeasure over how Smith had made contact while racing for 3rd place in the Xfinity Series during the final lap at Phoenix.
