Danica Patrick didn’t get the love she does now when she was racing. In fact, she was often booed too. Although many drivers face hate from fans, they have feelings too. And Patrick is no different, but she ended up lashing out once.

However, she got booed for something that Patrick refused to do.

After the Qualifying at Pocono, back in 2017, fans asked Danica for an autograph. However, she refused to give autographs, which caused the fans to launch a barrage of boos at the driver.

And as she turned around to confront the fans, a Facebook live greeted Patrick live where she lashed out.

“Since I’m old, instead of taking the booing, I want to tell you, I’m doing the very best I can,” Patrick told the fans. “If you’re a real fan, you know that I’m not just like…my job is not to sign autographs, right? My job is to drive a car and to tell the crew chief what’s going on. I don’t appreciate the booing. It hurts my feelings. I’m a person, too. I have feelings.”

Surely, Danica would be annoyed. But it’s also understandable why the fans booed at her for not signing the Autographs. Especially, since she’s the most glamorous NASCAR Cup Series driver yet. So, was Patrick’s reaction fair?
