Martin Truex Jr is the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion and a two-time Xfinity Series champion. He won two consecutive Xfinity championships in 2004 and 2005.
Martin drives the No. 19 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. Martin comes from a family of NASCAR drivers. He started racing in 2001 when he made his Xfinity debut. Martin got his first chance to drive in the Cup Series in the 2004 season. He has taken part in 557 Cup series races and has won 29 races.

Sherry Pollex and Martin Truex Jr are together since 2005. Sherry runs a business and a foundation called ‘Martin Truex Jr. Foundation’ to support children with pediatric cancer. In 2014, Pollex was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer. Sherry Pollex owns a boutique in North Carolina.
Both Martin and Sherry have acted as a support system to each other. Sherry has been on Martin’s side whenever he has won the races and Martin has supported Sherryin her fight with Cancer.
“To be able to experience what he’s going through on and off the track has been huge for both of us,” Pollex told NASCAR.com.
“I think the race track is a good place to go to kind of forget about all your troubles. You go there, perform well and it makes everything better. It makes him happy, and I love seeing him happy. It’s been an amazing year.”

Can Martin Truex Jr repeat his feat of the 2017 season?
Martin won the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series championship. He has been consistent ever since winning the series. He finished the 2018 and 2019 NASCAR Cup Series in 2nd position and the 2020 season in 7th position.

His 2021 season so far has been amazing. He has been able to win 2 races out of the 8 races and a 3rd place finish. It is too early to predict the result of the 2021 season but Truex Jr is surely in contention to win the Cup series.
Martin even won his 1st Truck series race. It came at the Pinty’s Dirt Race at Bristol. He drives the No. 51 Toyota Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
