After showing her skills and talent in the ARCA Menards Series, Hailie Deegan looks ready to make her debut in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series. NASCAR’s roster shows Deegan listed as the driver for DGR-Crosley’s No. 17 Ford F-150 in the Truck race at Kansas Speedway.

Drew Blickensderfer is listed as the Crew Chief, while the designated spotter is Tim Fedewa. The team, however, is yet to announce the development. The race is on Friday, October 16.

Deegan has won races in the K&N Pro Series, but is yet to win a race in the ARCA Menards Series. However, the 2020 season has been quite successful for her, with four top-five and 16 top-10 finishes.

Hailie Deegan spoke about Truck plans recently

A few weeks ago, Deegan spoke about her Truck Series situation and admitted that she and her team were trying to make it happen. She had a plan in place, but the COVID-19 situation affected its smooth functioning.

Money is still tight. ARCA is expensive. At the beginning of the year, we were going to be in the clear to do a few Truck races,” Deegan said.

“What actually happened is, with the whole COVID deal and everything, everyone’s budgets with what they were going to get extra on top of what they had already signed was cut. So then we had to start from square one again.”

Adding to the same, Deegan expressed that the plans they were working on could help her next year too.

We’re still trying to figure everything out. Obviously, I would love to do truck races this year to see if it works out. And try to figure out if it will help me with my plan next year too.”

She also said that while the season did not go as expected, there are still important learnings that she can take from it.

With the latest development, it seems Deegan’s Truck Series aim for this year is about to be fulfilled. The other DGR-Crosley driver mentioned on the roster page is Tanner Gray, in the No. 15 car.
