Back in 2014, Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski were involved in a fascinating pit-road brawl at the Texas Motor Speedway playoff race. But there was one unlikely guest in their fight, Kevin Harvick, who shoved Keselowski in front, leading to a big fight. Funnily enough, the driver of the #4 car had nothing to do in the fight, yet he started it.
And he regrets nothing.

As we approach the playoff race at the Texas Motor Speedway, let’s look at one of the most iconic moments on that track in 2014. Of course, the brawl between Gordon and Keselowski, where Harvick shoved the Penske driver. Now, it’s important to note, Kevin had absolutely no role in the fight. So, why did he shove him? Well, the reason is simple. He explained, “You guys know, I love the controversy,”

But does he regret what he did? Nope. He admitted he has no regrets about the fight in the next race at Phoenix, which is the final race before the ultimate championship of four. He said, “I never look back on something as a regret,” “I think you look back on them as lessons.” Now, Harvick won that race at Phoenix and later won the Championship in the next race at Homestead-Miami, which was the championship of 4.
Quite a hilarious reason to start a fight, though. This fight invented a whole new term in the NASCAR world- Harvicking. What does it even mean? Well, according to the Washington Post, the definition of Harvicking is- “to shove someone for no good reason, aka an action that might get kids suspended from school, aka something that NASCAR probably shouldn’t be promoting “as a thing” even if it is a thing.”

But what caused the fight?
What went down in Texas in 2014?
Surely, it’s a very important race night in 2014. That’s where the term “Harvicking” came to be! So, the #2 car Keselowski had all the pace to charge for the win. Unfortunately, the pace isn’t all you need, as he ended up cutting the tires on the #24 on his charge.

Naturally, Gordon was quite pissed off and confronted the (former) Penske driver. However, Harvick came into the battle much like a random teenager in a school fight and shoved Keselowski to start a fight, which he succeeded at!
