Turning 21 is a big deal for anyone and Carson Hocevar celebrated the special occasion by sharing some unseen pictures of his life on his Instagram handle. As he steps into his early 20s, he will be racing in the NASCAR Cup Series for Spire Motorsports. It was a big jump for the 21-year-old who raced full time in the Truck Series and was in the championship race in 2023.

Hocevar got into big trouble with a lot of people in NASCAR due to his antics in the Truck Series finale last season. Since then, he has been looked at as a sort of villain in the competition. The Truck Series finale was criticized by almost every driver in the Cup Series and eminent insiders as well.

The 21-year-old admitted his disappointed with what had transpired but did not find many people on his side. By then, it had been confirmed that he would be racing full time in the Cup Series the next season with Spire Motorsports. There was some concern in the NASCAR community that he would behave the same way in the Cup. But as far as Hocevar is concerned, he just wants to do the best he can.

Some say that turning 21 means that you’re stepping into adulthood. It feels almost poetic that the year in which Carson Hocevar turns 21, he will race in the NASCAR Cup Series with the big boys. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to the competition in the division.

He shared several pictures of himself, ones that fans had not seen before, from recent pictures of him on the track during a Truck Series race to when he was just a kid. The 21-year-old also shared a picture of his karting days and one with a much younger version of Kyle Busch.

He may have rubbed some NASCAR insiders the wrong way with his antics in the Truck Series finale, but Carson Hocevar still has his fans. At the end of the day, he is not the most experienced driver in the world and at his age, mistakes are not uncommon. These fans showered him with well wishes under his birthday post on Instagram.

Most comments were birthday wishes, but some fans got creative. “Happy Birthday! It will be great to really celebrate your next win,” one user commented. “Happy birthday C-Note,” quipped another.

“Go shawty it’s your birthday we gonna party like it’s your birthday,” another user wrote, referring to the popular 50 Cent song, In da Club.

One user pointed out the obvious, that Carson Hocevar could finally drink legally. Until now, he was not being allowed to have champagne on Victory Road, but all that is going to change. The only thing left is for him to go out and win a race. “The 🐐 can drink the champagne when he wins now,” commented the fan.

Another fan took note of the eighth photo in the Instagram post, which was the one with the former Truck Series driver winning a kart race. “Photo 8 brings back a lot of good memories. Happy birthday bro. Let’s hit up the Root Beer Stand when you come home,” they commented.

Hocevar will be beginning a new chapter in his career in 2024 and it will be intriguing to see how the 21-year-old adapts to the pressure of the Cup. Can he make an impact in his first full-time season?
