The Official NASCAR game titled, NASCAR 21: Ignition wasn’t something that was well-received when it was initially launched. The game was extremely buggy in nature and launched in a more or less unfinished state. However, recently Motorsport Games announced a brand new update for the game that would bring the latest season to the hands of fans to play around with.

NASCAR 21: Ignition’s official Twitter handle confirmed the news with a post stating, “Experience the historic 2022 #NASCAR Cup Series season for FREE on October 6th with the #NASCARIgnition 2022 Expansion!” The expansion would see the all-new Next-gen Cup Cars in action along with the current driver lineup and 2022 season tracks. The update will be available to all users from October 6, 2022.

The new season update’s official trailer did look amazing, but we’d have to wait for the expansion pack to drop before giving out any further judgments as per the quality and gameplay of things. One thing to note, however, is that the expansion pack is only available for free if you already own the game. Another factor to consider is the fact that reviews of the game have generally been pretty negative on online stores such as steam. Many have complained that aside from the tracks and the cars, other things such as the handling, physics, and AI are apparently terrible.
NASCAR fans react to upcoming NASCAR 21: Ignition update
Fans were generally elated at the arrival of the new season and wished that other games such as NBA 2K22 could learn from Motorsport Games and update seasons instead of releasing an all-new game each year.
Even though the initial launch of the game was studded with bugs, rendering it nearly unplayable, over the last couple of updates and patch fixes fans state that the condition of the gameplay has improved quite a bit. They appreciated Motorsport Games for making the new expansion pack free for existing players. The mood though seemed a bit mixed, at the end were found to be really excited to see what the expansion brings to the table.
Appreciate the expansion being free!

If your thinking about buying this, understand what your buying what will hopefully be the lowest point in Officially Licensed Sports Game history and the worst racing game to come out in the last 20 years. Honesly, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want it for posterity sake

Really appreciate this for the community, the free roster update and the many game fixes. Been having little fun with the game so far, I’m actually really excited for this and hope the game is even more enjoyable!

I'm actually… Kinda excited… I have been playing the game a lot more recently and it's kinda fun. I really enjoy the Daytona road course.

I move how NASCAR games adds new season updates or releases the new game as the current season is wrapping up…imagine if NBA 2K released the new draft class as the conference finals are wrapping up.
