Former NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart has been associated with the sport for a long time. Even though ‘Smoke’ has retired from full-time racing, he is still a distinguished presence in the circuit, both as a team owner and a commentator. However, when the 2024 season arrives, his role might be reduced to just that of a team owner. This came on the heels of an announcement from the soon-to-retire Kevin Harvick.
The 51-year-old shared his insights on this with the world in a recent podcast. Despite potentially seeing his role reduced, he also found a silver lining.

Kevin Harvick will be taking up commentary duties. Replying to a question on the same on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Tony Stewart said, “Well, the sad part is, Kevin Harvick let the cat out of the bag at the LA Coliseum. Kevin’s going to be in the booth full-time next year for Fox. So I’m actually getting fired.”
Stewart’s “getting fired” is not yet confirmed. Despite having this belief, the former Cup Series Champion opted to look at the positives.
