In a heartwarming turn of events at Pocono Raceway, NASCAR rivals Kevin Harvick, and Joey Logano showcased the power of friendship and philanthropy. Despite a past feud dating back to 2010, the two racing champions buried the hatchet and embraced the spirit of giving back.
Thirteen years ago, Harvick and Logano were entangled in an on-track incident that left a bitter taste between them. Following the race, Logano took a playful jab at Harvick, jokingly referencing Harvick’s wife, DeLana Harvick, with the remark, “his wife wears the firesuit in the family.” Rather than letting animosity simmer, the Harvick couple, known for their charitable endeavors through the Kevin Harvick Foundation, turned the incident into something positive.

Harvick family created T-shirts featuring the witty phrase, “I Wear the Firesuit in This Family,” and put them up for sale. The proceeds from these shirt sales were directed toward the foundation, setting an inspiring precedent for the future.
Fast forward to the present, and the feud that once divided them has been replaced by a strong bond forged over years of mutual respect and collaboration. Harvick and Logano have grown to know each other beyond the racetrack, finding common ground in their shared mission to improve the sport they love. In a touching act of goodwill, the 2007 Daytona 500 winner presented Logano with a remarkable $12,000 donation to the Joey Logano Foundation.
During an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Harvick stated, “After all these years, the right thing to do is make a nice donation to his foundation and you know he’s always in. If something is going on, he’s going to call me, and I’m going to call him. And you know we’ve just had we’ll race each other hard. But you know, I think as you look at that, it was just a good moment to look back on something that we all laugh at. And you know, I think as we go forward, some of a good opportunity to donate to his foundation.”
