Hooters is a pretty popular hangout destination for understandable reasons. But the important part about the restaurant chain is its involvement in the NASCAR industry, having sponsored many teams in the past. And plenty of drivers use it as a hangout spot too, but there was one time Tyler Reddick almost had his house turned upside down because of Hooters.

Brett Griffin went into detail about the time Reddick brought his son to Hooters!

Griffin came on a recent episode of Door, Bumper, Clear! Where he recalled the time the 23XI Racing driver brought his son to Hooters, “We call a top-secret postseason meeting at Hooters, at Mooresville before it closed. And Tyler rose in with Beau. Yeah, you’re a good dad when you bring your young kid Hooters.”

Turns out, Beau has a taste for blonde women as Reddick detailed an incident. “If any girl that’s blonde, Beau’s obsessed with. And once, we were at dinner last night with a friend and her husband’s with her. And Beau doesn’t even care. Beau straight up, to my friend’s face was like, ‘yeah, your husband doesn’t have to come to dinner anymore. It can just be me and you.'”

Brett Griffin wanted to have fun with Tyler Reddick’s son

Well, your future driver bringing their kid to Hooters is bound to get some laughs. But Griffin went a few steps further.

Of course, the NASCAR spotter wanted to have some fun with Beau. “I turn the corner and I said, I said, Bo, if Mommy asks, we’ve been at scores all day. And I get about five minutes down the road. And Tyler calls me, he’s like, I’m gonna fu*king kill you. He wouldn’t stop saying scores”

Fortunately, Reddick’s son didn’t say anything to his mom. Well, I think I remember if we got home and he said, ‘Mommy, we were at scores’. Remember that part? Yeah. He didn’t, thankfully. But I was like, this. We’re gonna walk in the door. He’s gonna say we’re at scores, and I don’t know how she’s gonna. She’s probably not gonna take that. Well, I probably would have been out of the house living somewhere else.”

Of course, the reason Reddick would have a meeting with Brett Griffin and Freddie Kraft in the off-season is because of his big change. And that is the fact that he’s going to 23XI Racing next year, starting a new chapter of his life.

But what caused the big change?

In the middle of the 2022 season before the playoffs, Reddick announced he’ll move to 23XI Racing once his contract with RCR ends in 2024. But it seems they put the matters on fast forward an entire year.

RCR decided to end matters with Tyler a little early, as they brought Kyle Busch to replace him in 2023 after JGR sacked him. On top of that, Kurt Busch’s concussion-like symptoms rendered him far from racing conditions until ultimately he took his leave from NASCAR. Of course, that left the door of the #45 car open for Reddick to make his new home, officially racing for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin in 2023.
