NASCAR’s Next Gen cars have now become infamous for how hard the impact feels on the drivers. When Noah Gragson, who’s going to be racing in the Cup Series from next year, found out about this, he claimed that had he acquired this knowledge beforehand he would have thought twice.

During the latest interaction on the DBC podcast, Gragson stated, “If I would have known at the beginning of the year, how these things were to wreck, I wouldn’t have signed up to race any races. From Darlington, onto the end of the season, just because I wanted to be ready for the Xfinity car. Yesterday on the restart I didn’t even try to make progress on the restarts.”

“I just tried to maintain and not get wrecked. I wanna be ready to go for Saturdays and I feel like if I try to race the Cup cars, you know to the full potential, there’s a possibility of it stepping out and you wreckin’ and you’re scrambled eggs, you don’t know.”
Noah Gragson is headed to Petty GMS from 2023

Gragson revealed that he signed a contract with Petty GMS Motorsports to race with them from the 2023 season onwards.
The JR Motorsports driver will be replacing Ty Dillon and will be seen driving his #42 car in the top flight of stock car racing in America.
