Over the past week, Tyler Reddick has been the talk of the town as Denny Hamlin recently signed him for his team, 23XI Racing, for 2024. Speaking his mind to that while looking at a bigger picture, Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, suggested something quite surprising on the Dirty Mo Media podcast. He revealed what he would do if he were Richard Childress. Kraft also went on to name who he thinks Reddick’s replacement driver should be.

Kraft said, “If I am Richard Childress today, I’d keep Tyler Reddick in that car for next year because he’s the best chance to win races and compete for a championship. And then I’d transition to Austin Dillon.”
“I think Austin Dillon is one of the most underrated drivers in our sport.”
To this, Brett Griffin added, “He’s very good in that equipment too. He doesn’t wreck a lot.”
They went on to mention that Richard Childress was mad at the situation at hand. They said when Richard looks at what is best for the next year and the future of RCR, it is certainly not to replace Tyler Reddick with Ty Dillon.
According to Kraft, the best replacement for Reddick after 2023 would be Austin Dillon.

Last week had been a rollercoaster ride for the RCR team owing to the weird timing of their star driver’s announcement to join 23XI Racing in 2024.
Fans react to Richard Childress Racing Twitter post regarding Tyler Reddick
The shocking news of Tyler Reddick departing the team a year and a half later was weird and left the team feeling betrayed. Right after the announcement came through, RCR posted on Twitter saying they while they were proud of Reddick’s success, they were not happy with the timing of the announcement.
Fans reacted to RCR’s statement. Some mentioned how RCR did not focus on Reddick. Others spoke about the nepotism favoring Austin as we know Dillon is the grandson of Richard Childress.
You didn’t have to bring in the last part of that statement. Lets be real.

maybe if you didn't prioritize silver spoon's very average talent over reddick, this would not have happened

Y'all kept playing games prioritizing Austin when Tyler was clearly better so this is what happens

Pop Pop has always favored Austin no matter how much more talented Tyler is. He has a chance to be priority #1 at 23XI while he never would’ve at RCR

Haha now all you've got is Austin Dillion. Y'all better hope Austin Hill stays under the radar or you guys are gonna pay driver yourself out of business.
