The past few weeks have been a roller-coaster for the SRX Racing series drivers and fans alike. Very few races in the history of NASCAR had witnessed such a wreck carnage that had occurred on the tracks of Monster Mile during the ongoing third race of the SRX season. The incident was nothing less than a menace for most of the drivers who were collected in the process.
The person in question who had to face the wrath of his actions, along with a punishment for his on-track action, is none other than the 2003 CART Champion Paul Tracy. The driver’s lapse of judgment acted in favor of the series debutant Kyle Busch, who seized a podium finish on his maiden appearance.
Moreover, Tracy was slapped with race suspension for an indefinite period of time for his conduct, and owing to this fact, it seems that his fellow driver Ken Schrader seems to appreciate the action taken by the authority which was evident in the interview with Frontstretch.

Veteran driver Ken Schrader throws the ball in Tony Stewart’s court after the issuance of the suspension
The incident involving Paul Tracy occurred at lap 89 when the IndyCar driver tried to outlast Josef Newgarden but failed to gauge his position on the track. Eventually, Tracy made contact with Newgarden and in the process involved other drivers, including the likes of Hailie Deegan, Ken Schrader, and Marco Andretti, and caused a mass pile-up on the track.
Moreover, it was Ken Schrader, apart from Tracy himself, that sustained the worst damages on their cars and had to retire from the race. After calling it a day, a fuming Schrader expressed to the media, “Oh it took out three or four cars again. The same thing every week, that’s it.” Even the co-owner of the series, Tony Stewart, had heaved his disappointment over the whole ruckus caused by Tracy.
Following the whole conundrum, the authorities of the SRX Series took a stringent step and suspended Paul Tracy for an indefinite period. Owing to this, the media of Frontsretch media asked the victim Ken Schrader about his thoughts on racing in Berlin and his stance on the whole issue of Tracy. It seemed that the veteran doesn’t seem to take the credit after playing a role in dishing out the penalty.
To which the veteran retorted, “The track is just so unique and everybody is pretty much lost. I think it will be real good, you can move around some. There is no grip anywhere you can’t even touch the throttle, it’s gonna be good, I think. The tire is going to give up which is naturally as old as the pavement is. I just that will make for a good race.”
“I doubt if that had anything to do with it. I was just done, but obviously, they were too. I don’t know that’s all their decision,” Schrader concluded.

In an interview with Fronstretch, Stewart divulged, “I wish more than anybody that Paul Tracy would running with us tonight because Paul is an excellent race car driver. It didn’t feel the same not having him [Paul] here and I think the race track made the carnage side of it little easier than just everybody’s gonna say well without Paul there and tear anything up I think this race track lended itself to being easier on the cars”
Stewart also asserted, “It was a rough week for our series.”
