Speaking on the popular The Residency Podcast, Kyle shares his thoughts on the ‘Mount Rushmore’ of NASCAR and so much more. Mentioning some legends like Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jimmie Johnson, he talks about where he wants to be, revealing his ambitions.
Kyle Busch reveals his goals and what the pinnacle of the sport is for him
In the recent podcast, Kyle talked about his future and how the driver wants it to be. With him racking up wins and being competitive as ever, we feel he can certainly reach there.
He said, “I hope that by the time I’m done, I’ll put myself in that (his 4 all-time great drivers) just with the amount of NASCAR wins that I have. I need more championships that’s one thing that I would love to get more of and if I can get. I got sixty-one race wins now if I could get… the next guy I got to pass is Dale Earnhardt.”
“So that would be a big one to me is passing him so that would, I would like, I would like to see if I would get to ninety wins, I think that I think that’s doable.”
While revealing his future goals, Kyle was practical and truthful, even mentioning how tough the road is going to be.

The podcast saw Busch talking about many different moments of his own career, like feuds, and what the future holds for him. Later, the hosts asked what many of us fans would want to ask him, “We have to ask, everyone wants to know your Mount Rushmore of NASCAR, who’s on it?”
To this, Kyle explained his analogy pointing out the change the sport has seen over the years, “Okay, um, I would say, Dale Earnhardt, uh, Richard Petty, um, Jimmie Johnson and I put all three of them on there because they all have the seven championships.”

He further explained, “I don’t know that championships are the same or yeah I don’t think the championships are the same in this day and age as they once were, uh, they’re way, races are way harder to win, championships are way harder to win now more than ever, my opinion.”
“So, who’s the fourth one, uh, I don’t know, I want to say, Jeff Gordon because he’s really high up and he’s got four championships, so he would probably be another one.”
