In just its second year with Brad Keselowski as co-owner, the RFK Racing team has already experienced success, achieving remarkable results in a relatively short span of time. The team is determined to see both of their cars make it into the playoffs; however, it seems unlikely that it will happen that way.
In a pre-race interview at his hometown race, the FireKeepers Casino 400, Brad Keselowski highlighted the team’s significant past performances on tracks that are part of the playoff schedule. He specifically mentioned their strong showings at Darlington and last year’s Texas race. Talking to the presser, the #6 driver said, “Well, I think it’s supercritical but it’s obviously I have my own biases but I think putting both cars in really kind of showing to ourselves and others that we are committed to having the depth across the entire company to be able to win and be a threat on any given Sunday with both cars is supercritical to our long-term standing in the shorter and performance.”

The team’s co-owner is eager to expand, but a significant hurdle stands in their way. All the charters have been claimed, and no one is willing to sell. Despite potential sponsors showing interest, the absence of a charter makes it impossible to move forward, no matter the amount of money offered.

As per RACER.com, Brad Keselowski said, “It’s almost impossible to buy a charter, Nobody’s selling one”
“No matter what your offer is, you can’t buy one. I think there’s been some people knocking on the door with a lot of money, and the answer is ‘Your money’s not good anywhere” he concluded.
