Samantha Busch is one of the most popular and respected women in the NASCAR community today. She is a smart entrepreneur, running multiple businesses,  and often takes to social media to share tidbits about her day. While her family life is a major part of her updates, recently there was another unexpected guest who took over her home and her Instagram account. The mother-of-two recently revealed how a huge rodent caught her off guard recently and wreaked havoc early in the morning. When it comes to intruders, even if they’re harmless to humans, things can go a little sideways like they did recently.

Samantha Busch was petrified as the intruder refused to back off

She uploaded several stories on her Instagram handle explaining what went down with her recently. While it mustn’t have been fun for her, it certainly made for a hilarious story in the Busch household. It turns out that a giant squirrel got into the house to take shelter from the cold and Samantha Busch completely freaked out the moment she set eyes on the rodent.

“So, Kyle goes to media day and I go upstairs to wake Brexton up, and in the middle of our freaking hallway was this big a** squirrel. Like, not a baby, a full squirrel. We, like, locked eyes. I started screaming. This thing tore up the wall, Crazy. So, I panicked and tried to get Piper to chase it,” she revealed.

The family had just returned from vacation, so it must not have been the best homecoming gift. And that was not the end of the story. Later in the day, after she made breakfast for her children, Samantha Busch found the creature again, this time, in her bedroom. The curious squirrel was not one to back off. Rather, it charged at her, which completely threw her off.

“I get the kids breakfast and I’m going to go back to our bedroom and there it is again. Like this squirrel thinks it is a house pet. It’s just hanging out. And so again I panic. I take off running, I’m not great in these situations. You would think that thing would take off running, no, no, no, it like comes at us,” she added.

You’d think that having a dog in the house would make things easier, but that wasn’t the case. The Busch’s dog, Piper, did chase the rodent eventually but initially, she just did not care. Busch further uploaded a video of her pet’s blank expression when asked it to find the squirrel.

Piper sure does look cute and cuddly, but she did seem kind of confused when asked to do something one would normally expect a dog to do. Samantha gave her the instructions to find and chase the intruder away, but the canine seemed least interested.

“Piper, go find the squirrel. Okay, go hunt. Go retrieve something. And go! And go! Okay.” Her instructions fell on deaf, floppy ears as all Piper did was stand and stare at her human. Samantha Busch did reveal later that Piper did indeed chase the squirrel into a room and promptly fell asleep guarding it.
