After a series of P2 finishes at Texas and Talladega, Brad Keselowski had a disappointing end to his Dover race. With three laps to mark the Stage 1 end, RFK Racing’s No. 6 car spun, bringing out a caution.
Needless to mention, Keselowski was highly disappointed with the early exit. He missed out on another chance to put Team Ford up the ladders. After the race, he opened up on missing out a genuine chance to compete higher up.

After the race’s conclusion, RFK Racing shared a post on X, sharing their driver’s positions coming out of the Dover International Speedway. While co-owner Brad Keselowski ended at P30 with a DNF, the team’s other driver, Chris Buescher ended at P17. However, soon after, the team-owner Keselowski shared the post mentioning he could have performed better today if not for his wrong judgment. He also stated that they are going to use this as an experience to learn new things over the next few weeks.
Keselowski said, “I screwed up. Should have finished top-10, but spun out and damaged the car. Learned some things, really excited to apply them over the next few weeks.”

On the other hand, Chris Buescher finished behind his fellow Ford driver Joey Logano. Having said that, in the Cup Series standings, Keselowski and Buescher exchanged each other’s spots. Buescher moved two spots ahead to 14th, while Keselowski dropped two spots to 16th. But, as the playoffs approach with looming threat of eliminations, can the Ford drivers place their vehicle in a comfortable position?

Brad Keselowski continues to compete effectively throughout the season. Evidently, the driver-team owner has continued to focus on the process rather than the outcome, even though he hasn’t won a Cup Series race in nearly three years, spanning 105 races. Apart from the P2 positions at Texas and Talladega, he has a P3 in Bristol and P8 at Richmond.
Keselowski previously acknowledged that luck had a part in his recent impressive performances. At the same time, he emphasized that all drivers on the grid are likely to encounter similar strokes of good fortune throughout the season. He said, “I feel like the last two weeks especially. We’ve earned finishes we probably didn’t deserve,” the 40-year-old said after the Talladega race. “It kind of ebbs and flows as the season goes. But when you have cars that are capable of winning, in general, you need to make it count,” he further added.
With the next race set to take place at Kansas, let’s see if RFK stars can capitalize on this opportunity and come up with something better. Can the racers break Ford’s drought this season?
