The controversial saga of Josh Williams is well known. The NASCAR Xfinity Series driver parked his car at the start-finish line stretch when asked to return to the garage following a caution in Atlanta. Following the incident, he was seen enraged with NASCAR and spent a considerable time in the hauler later. While things looked heated between him and the governing body, his recent act has earned him a lot of plaudits.
NASCAR suspended Williams for a race after the events that took place in Atlanta, which saw him miss the race at the Circuit of The Americas. However, he seems to have taken it well and has shown some amazing character recently.

It is no secret how furious Williams looked after what happened in Atlanta. Although he received a lot of support from elsewhere, including from Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin, ultimately it did result in a one-race suspension. One would have expected the 29-year-old to lose his cool once again after that, but recently he surprised many with an unimaginable act.
In his recent social media post, Williams delivered pizza to the NASCAR hauler. The context behind this is how he spent his time long hours at the hauler immediately after the Atlanta race incident two weeks back. It was then that the people there offered him a pizza, considering the intense racing he did. So to “return the favor”, Williams came back to the hauler recently with an amazing gesture.
Returning the favor. 🍕
I wanted to bring you guys some pizza. You were so kind to me 2 weeks ago. 😂😂
Thanks to the @NASCAR_Xfinity Hauler and @RichmondRaceway Media Center for allowing me to stop by with some @PapaJohns for everyone.

Despite having been suspended and having faced a lot of heat for the incident, Williams showing up like this made the fans go crazy about him. They couldn’t help but love it despite how difficult it must have been for him.
I love that even though it sucked, you aren't dwelling on it and taking the penalty like a champ. Never change!

As was the case with many fans, they did not hear about who Williams was until the incident. However, once they got to know about him, they couldn’t get enough of him.

It was truly an amazing act by Williams. Reacting the way he did takes a lot of courage and maturity.
Furthermore, it only got better for Williams recently as NASCAR granted him a waiver to be still eligible for the playoffs despite the suspension. In this case, the fans weren’t quite really behind the decision.

It is a surprising decision given how they have gone about the incident. More so, it has confused the fans as to how the waiver actually works. They left no stone unturned in expressing their disappointment.

I thought the waiver was for medical reasons, apparently not.

If you get suspended you shouldn't get a waiver. Sometimes @NASCAR is a joke when it comes to this
