NASCAR fans are getting ready for the third race of the season in Las Vegas. After recent wins for Ricky Stenhouse Jr and Kyle Busch, fans are waiting to see if the Pennzoil 400 is as thrilling as the last two races and are forecasting the would-be winner. One of the top contenders for the win is Denny Hamlin, who nearly missed out on an emphatic win at the venue last year. However, just days ahead of the race, Hamlin made a concerning confession about the repercussions of his failure last season.

Denny Hamlin was recently joined by co-host Jared Allen on the Actions Detrimental podcast. During the discussions about the upcoming race, the three-time Daytona 500 winner admitted that he used to “hate” the Las Vegas Motor Speedway while detailing how it all unfurled during last year’s race.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver stated, “I have PTSD looking back at the race one year ago. Because I had a very very fast car and I missed shift. Because I forgot that it’s not an H-pattern anymore. So, I remember coming off pit road and going from second to first, because I thought I had to go up for the third. And it was over.”
