Chills! Yes, no one can’t get over the fact that Ross Chastain really did that. The way the #1 made the video game move at Martinsville is something that not many will forget. May that be the drivers racing with him or the fans in the stand. But what about the spotters?

NASCAR recently posted a video with radio conversations between drivers and their respective spotters after they witnessed a historic moment on the track. And after hearing them, it is clear that no one expected that.
The first person to react to Chastain’s move in the video was Joey Logano’s spotter. He can be heard saying; “Ross rode the fence outside of you. Outside, outside, outside. Holy Cow. I guess it does work. Holy s**t! You see that??? (laughs) Oh my God!”
Furthermore, Bubba Wallace’s spotter too was dumbfounded for a moment. Warning the #45 of Chastain, he said “Watch it. The #1 ripping the outside wall in the fence. Holy sh*t. Unbelievable! Wow! That’s the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen the #1 doing.” And Bubba Wallace too couldn’t help but say; “I’m pretty sure he got in with that!”
Moreover, Erik Jones’ spotter was shocked to see Chastain jump five positions with just a single move. And Chase Elliott too couldn’t believe his eyes. Elliott’s spotter went silent for a moment as he kind of lost his train of thought. Here is what they said over the radio.

Surprisingly, it was Kyle Larson! Last season, Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson attempted a similar move at Darlington. However, unlike Chastain, Larson did not make it to the end successfully. But after Ross Chastain’s successful maneuver at Martinsville, Larson claimed that the move was pretty embarrassing.
He said; “I was a bit, I don’t know, embarrassed that I did it because that was pretty embarrassing, honestly. I think that’s not a good look for our sport, at all.” He continued, “I don’t know what you guys think, you probably think it’s cool. But I think it’s pretty embarrassing.”
