Bubba Wallace is currently competing in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season. Recently, he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show for a casual conversation. As it happened, the 23XI Racing driver made some startling revelations about his personal life. This included not having a driver’s license when he was 17 years old.

When Kimmel asked at what age he got his driver’s license, Wallace said, “17! I failed the written part [of the driving test], I didn’t fail the driving part. It was the Stop sign and railroad crossing I got mixed up. So I waited like six months to go back and do it. Oh yeah.”

Eventually, he must have received it, as he is now a successful NASCAR driver. The driver even has a Cup Series win at the Talladega Superspeedway under his belt. It is also worth mentioning that he and his teammate Kurt Busch, driving for 23XI Racing team, have been contenders for wins.

What lies ahead for 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace?

This weekend is the Cup Series race at the World Wide Technology Raceway. This will be the first time the Cup Series is racing at this venue. So whoever wins this race will permanently etch their names in history as the first Cup Series winners. Naturally, Bubba Wallace will be hoping to become that lucky driver.

However, he starts a bit behind in 18th place, which could be a small problem in his quest.

In the meantime, Chase Briscoe leads the pack from pole position, ahead of Austin Cindric. The 27-year-old is currently on the hunt for his second win of the season, which could firmly cement his Playoff berth. Already, the likes of William Byron, Ross Chastain, and Denny Hamlin have two wins. So the Stewart-Haas Racing driver would definitely love to join the two-win club.
