The Earnhardts have gained a lot of respect in the NASCAR world over time. It all began with Dale Sr’s father, Ralph Earnhardt, who was the first from the family to race in NASCAR. His son, Dale Sr, followed in his footsteps and carved a name for himself as one of the all-time greats. Then came Dale Earnhardt Jr, who, despite the heavy responsibility of carrying the Earnhardt legacy forward, created a place for himself.

Jeffrey Earnhardt, Dale Jr’s nephew, is the fourth-generation driver from the Earnhardt family. As a family legacy, that is quite incredible and a lot to keep up with. The Earnhardts have, over the years, proven their humility and dedication to work. Recently, the Dale Download Jr podcast had a special family reunion episode and the Earnhardt family dynamics were a topic of discussion.

Dale Jr. had his sister Kelley and nephew Jeffrey join the podcast at the studio. While they spoke about a lot of things, it was Dale Jr. who initiated a conversation with his nephew about a certain complaint he had for him. During the podcast, Dale Jr. said, “And now that Kelley’s here, I thought maybe we could talk a little bit about some of the dynamics of the family.”

“I think me and you’ve talked about this a little bit in the past, but I’ve always, you know, I hardly see you, you know. I don’t see you as much as I’d like. It’s funny because we do live next door.”

Dale Jr, despite being polite, had a genuine complaint. Jeffrey could not argue and was in complete agreement with his uncle. Dale Jr. added that they should make more efforts to meet each other regularly.
