Spectators witnessed a shocker of a race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with another Cinderella story being written as Michael McDowell of Front Row Motorsports blasted his way into the playoffs with a stellar win at the iconic track. However, HMS ace Kyle Larson also had some good news for his fans.

With the driver and Mr. H teasing the community about his equipment for the ambitious double, popular NASCAR insider and Bubba Wallace’s spotter in his recent podcast tried to downplay the once-in-a-generation driver’s dream run.

Kyle Larson is often lauded as a once-in-a-generation talent, owing to his rich dirt racing background, his speedway prowess, and his ability to overcome adversity has yet again shocked the community shortly after his Indy road race last Sunday.

Larson now becomes the latest in the list to attempt the coveted “double,” racing two of the most grueling and challenging races on American soil. Cup Series champions Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch last took on the challenge with Stewart finishing the Indy500 6th. Now, Larson’s ambition is the talk of the town with fans and enthusiasts speculating about the 2021 Cup Series champ’s run next year.

Picture this—going back to back, at the Indy 500 in the afternoon and flying to Charlotte for the evening fixture, the Coca-Cola 600. Well, Larson’s is all up for the challenge. Reacting to the recent happenings, 23XI Racing spotter and popular NASCAR insider, Freddie Kraft got real about Larson’s double mission.

While Kraft is spot on for the #5 driver’s run, he did not shy away from raising his only complaint about his Arrow McLaren Papaya Orange car, saying, “I’m spot on that he can take them, he can take 2 months off if he likes because he’s going to win races next year and be in the playoffs no matter what but listen I think it’s cool, the car looks cool I dont know how you can tell that car apart from Scott Dixon’s because they look the same but yeah…”

Racing 1000-odd miles, that too on the same day in two different and contrasting promotions is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea but Larson being Larson is all up for the challenger as he follows the path of the great Tony Stewart. Shortly after the HMS speedster’s Indy run last Sunday where he finished a decent top 10, crossing the finish line 8th.

The racing community was in for a treat as Larson along with his boss, Mr. H, and Arrow McLaren’s chief engineer, Gavin Ward unveiled his Chevy and HMS partnered equipment with a splash of orange reminding fans of a new age in Indycar. With the racing community busy discussing the major update, popular Door Bumper Clear and Couch Racer host, Brett Griffin joined in with his take.

While Griffin was happy for Larson achieving his dream of securing a seat in Indycar and attempting the double. He also stated the obvious anxiety most of us fans had. He said, “Like what an epic photo that was, listen I’m going to be spot off if it rains.”
