After winning the Top Alcohol Dragster at NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in just his fourth national event start, Stewart has once again proven his mettle. However, as a Hall of Fame inductee, an owner of a Cup team, and winner of several accolades throughout his career, does Tony Stewart feel that his business associates have become weary of his excitement for NHRA racing?

Tony Stewart doesn’t ‘care if anybody’s mad’
In his post-win conversation, as reported by Autoweek.com, Tony Stewart was asked if the people around him are tired of witnessing his excitement for NHRA racing.
To which Stewart replied, “I don’t give a s—. I don’t care if NASCAR is mad. I don’t care if anybody’s mad. I’m having fun, living my life now.” Furthermore, the Stewart-Haas Racing co-owner explained how the sport has actually had some positive impacts on his life.
He added, “I’m able to control my life. I don’t have to do all the things that I had to do with my previous jobs. I have more control of my life. I have great teammates that drive for us, a great wife, and [Pruett and Hagan] have been the best teachers you can ask for and get advice from.”

Furthermore, Stewart revealed that it’s mostly the opposite of what was asked. He explained that people around him have actually questioned why he looks happier and more peaceful now.
He said, “They all know I’m having fun. I think it’s the opposite of what you thought. The comment I get the most is how happy I am: ‘You look happy. You look at peace.’ And I haven’t had that for a long time. So I’m at a very good spot in my life right now.”

Recently, Stewart was added to the list of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest NASCAR Drivers of All Time. A continuation of the 1998 list, Tony Stewart was the first of the 25 drivers that will be added to this list.
