Joey Logano set his name in stone, being the only two-time Cup Series Champion competing right now along with Kyle Busch. He got the opportunity to talk about it with Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty and felt humbled by the presence of two legends.

Clearly, Logano felt overshadowed by the presence of two of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history.

In an interview at NASCAR Hub, Logano talked about his fresh new second title with Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty. But Gordon’s 4 titles and Petty’s whopping 7 Championships humbled the driver, as he sat across a total of 11 Cup Series Championships. It just goes to show the standing the two legends have despite having a fresh Champion sitting with them.

Logano confessed his emotions as he said, First of all, I don’t even know I should be sitting up here because I got so many more [championships] than me and sitting here with two.”

Well, can’t blame him for feeling overshadowed, because there are two actual legends sitting with him. But there is one thing they all have experienced, and that is the feeling of getting a Championship

Winning a championship is a feeling all three drivers in the hub know perfectly well. Every time a driver wins a championship, fans can witness the emotions radiating from the winner right from when they step out of the car. It’s something extremely few experience. Only the best of the best can really get to know what that really feels like.

Further during the Race Hub interview, the 2022 Champion shared how it really felt to take his second title.

“But, they are so special, to get a Championship. You can’t compare it to other things that 1st 15 minutes is the best. It’s so special to celebrate that with just raw emotions” said Logano. “There are no words really being exchanged besides just hugs and yelling at each other, right? Like it’s just incredible that’s why you work so hard is to try to achieve that feeling that you can only get by doing something huge like winning a Championship.”

Winning a Cup Series title just feels like the ultimate pay for everything a driver has worked the entire season for. Of course, the Penske driver earned the title throughout the year, and adding his incredible consistency all season; it wasn’t a surprise he made it to Phoenix. But to dominate a track as tricky as Phoenix is a feat on its own.
