This weekend, before the Cup race at Pocono, there is the finale of the Superstar Racing Experience. Over here, NASCAR drivers Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney will face off to be the top current NASCAR star.
Recently, Blaney talked about the showdown between himself and the Hendrick Motorsports driver.
“I think it depends on the situation. I don’t care if it’s dad in front of me or someone else, Chase Elliott. It’s the finale, you got to go out with a bang. So its best to go for a good finish,” he said.

The Penske driver then went on to describe the advantages and disadvantages he’d have in the finale over drivers like Ryan Newman, another famous NASCAR name as well as the track itself.
“If I have any advantage over Ryan [Newman], its just knowing the race track a little bit. Maybe some lanes where I could make some ground up, but these guys, it won’t take them long to figure the same thing,” Blaney added.
“I’m going in with a disadvantage, and that’s going to be my excuse. I have limited practice, I get there race day evening. I have disadvantages.”

How has Ryan Blaney been performing this season in NASCAR?
Unfortunately for the Team Penske driver, he has been struggling so far. Despite sitting 3rd in the points standings, he has yet to win a race so far. At the rate at which more and more new winners are being added, he is in danger of not qualifying for the Playoffs.

It would honestly be a crying shame if he were to miss out on the championship challenge in such a manner.
So, what the Penske driver needs to do is try to reach Victory Lane or hope that there are repeat winners.

With six races in the regular season left, time is running out for him. Given that Joey Logano and Austin Cindric already have wins under their belts, it is only a matter of time before Blaney joins the party.
