Naturally, Dale Jr misses his father as he opens up about their relationship from time to time.

In a video uploaded on the former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick’s YouTube channel, Dale Jr. opened up about his father. The NASCAR analyst stated, “When I was younger, I didn’t understand why he wasn’t at my graduation.”
”He pushed so hard for me and Kelly to finish school.”
“We get there for graduation and he’s at a racetrack. I do not understand how he missed my graduation.”

“All through my high school years, he’s like ‘you gotta finish your school’. I don’t know why he thought we were going to drop out, but he’s like, ‘I just need you to finish school. It’s really important to me you finish school”.”, concluded the former Cup Series driver.

FilterTime co-owner also stated, “He quit school in eighth grade. He failed so many times that he was 16 years old in the eighth grade and he finally gave up and quit.”
Despite his failure in education, the Intimidator made sure he does everything for his children. Talking about this, the former NASCAR driver further asserted, “If you guys even try to go beyond high school and get more education, I’ll really be inclined to help you achieve whatever you want to achieve. It was really important to him.”

In NASCAR, Dale Sr, or Ironhead won 76 races in Cup Series and 21 races in Xfinity Series in a career that spread across almost three decades.
