As Kurt Busch tearfully announces that he would be stepping away from racing in the Cup Series and would no longer compete on a full-time basis. Many ask what he would do in his post-retirement era. However, recently Former NASCAR driver who also lived through what Busch is suffering from, expressed his opinion in regards to the 23XI Racing driver.

Mike Davis states, “You gotta find purpose in the post-racing career and that’s still to be determined. I hope he finds it.”
Junior then says, “I think he will he’s very busy, what I’ve been witnessing over him the last several months, even going through his rehab and whatnot, he’s busy day to day right? He’s occupying himself with many things and going to places and doing stuff and still actively involved in all of his responsibilities off track.”
He concluded by stating, “In terms with his partners and sponsors and charitable initiatives. So, I think that he won’t be a guy who ends up stuck on the couch wondering what to do with the rest of his life. I do not see Kurt doing that.”

What did Kurt Busch state in his retirement announcement?
Kurt Busch held a press conference last week, where he was almost down to tears expressing his compulsion to step away from the sport that he loved so dearly. He pointed towards his long-term health and stability as the reasoning behind his decision.

During the announcement, the driver of the 45 stated, “I have been working with all the top specialists and the team at Toyota performance center. I’m still not 100% and I am still not cleared to race. As I continue to focus on my health towards being cleared, I’ll be stepping away, from full-time Cup Series competition in 2023.”

Busch stated that he would prioritize his health over anything at this point and also mentioned that he would be actively involved with the sport from behind the scenes.
