Anthony Alfredo returned to his former team Our Motorsports in 2024, after spending a year with BJ McLeod Motorsports. He had a pretty decent year with Our Motorsports in 2022, finishing 15th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. However, Alfredo faced a challenging season last year, finishing 20th in the points standings with only two top-10 finishes. His former team had a tough year too, ending up 32nd in the owner points standings. Despite participating in all 33 events, they did not register a single top-10 finish.
Back again to where he belongs, Anthony Alfredo started in a great fashion in the ongoing season. He has already secured two top-10 finishes, matching his total from last year at BJMM.

Alfredo engaged in a brief interview with Frontstretch where he discussed his goals, as well as the challenges that are incoming for their team. The No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro driver for Our Motorsports described how he and Chris Our have some unfinished business and are aiming to turn the tables.
“Chris Our and I certainly have unfinished business together. We both want to win, and we know we can. He reached out to me at the end of last year to discuss me returning to the team, and being a focused, one-car program,” said Alfredo. “I’m looking forward to continuing to improve. The biggest thing this season has been working hard start to finish and controlling what we can. Honestly, we didn’t have the best cars at Atlanta and Phoenix, but in both of those races we kept chipping away at it and put ourselves in contention at the end,” he added.
Anthony Alfredo is aware of where his best shot at victory lies, but he doesn’t rule out any races. The gradual, persistent approach, coupled with the right circumstances or strategic moves, could create winning opportunities at any track.

“The superspeedways are definitely our best chance to win knowing the speed we brought to Daytona and my confidence at those places as a plate racer. That being said, you never know when another race at another type of track comes down to strategy. And we are able to capitalize on it,” Alfredo continued.

What are the challenges faced by Our Motorsports this season?
Our Motorsports do not have enough sponsors to fund them for expensive or modern-edge equipment and reliable cars. This is a concern for the team, as well as Alfredo, who has bigger plans. This alone can come in between him and his success. The driver demanded his doubters to show respect for him and their team for achieving so big with negligible resources. He believes that the way they are proceeding, they genuinely have a shot at success.
“We do not have an alliance. We didn’t have one in 2022 either. It makes it way more challenging, because there are so many Cup-affiliated Xfinity teams with alliances. All the more our performance should be turning heads. That motivates us to continue to go out there and beat those guys with less resources,” Alfredo continued. “We don’t have engineers running simulator. I don’t get driver sim time for our Xfinity program, we don’t have all the fancy technology that the other teams do, but we work hard and maximize what we do have.”
What impact would it have if Our Motorsports and Anthony Alfredo secured a playoff spot against the likes of JR Motorsports, Kaulig Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, or Joe Gibbs Racing? Jeb Burton achieved this feat last season while driving for Jordan Anderson Racing. Could Alfredo replicate that success this year?
