The first thing that comes to mind when speaking about Dale Earnhardt Sr is perhaps his uncompromising thirst for winning on the tracks. The legend has surely proven that nothing can stand between him and his victories, even if it means wrecking out a few drivers. The Intimidator might be a feared character on the tracks of NASCAR for sure, but his fatherly affections are surely something to be talked about.
The history of NASCAR is surely replete with famous instances where a father-son duo has dominated the tracks of NASCAR, as the former followed in the same footsteps as his predecessor while carving his own name. The same can be asserted for Dale Earnhardt and his son, but it seems that there are some unheard stories about Earnhardt racers that Donnie Allison brought forward.

In an episode of Dale Jr Download, when Matt Kenseth appeared on the show, the veteran driver spilled the beans on how the Intimidator had been tough on his son Dale Junior numerous times in the past, and how he controlled everything around him.
Kenseth revealed, “Like he told everybody where to sit, what they were going to eat, what they were going to like tell you. Right. Like the whole thing, like you know, so you walk in and start taking your shoes off. Leave your shoes on; carpets are the cheapest thing in my motorhome. Sit down over.”
But it seems that there were instances when Dale Sr had also reached out to his networks in order to help his son something unlikely from his apparent demeanor and Donnie Allison seem to reiterate those facts in a trip down memory lane.
In the latest episode of Dale Jr Download, the veteran disclosed, “He was really unique in the way all fans inspired the way Dale Sr called Kenny. He would say can you give Dale Jr a job and I would say I can’t do anything with him but I would.”
Nevertheless, the veteran continued, “Kenny says send him up that’s how he came up there, talking about Dale and the cars, Kenny built some pretty good Busch cars quite a few times and quite a good Winston Cup cars. He built the 30 Car that Michael Waltrip sat on the pole and brought it back home and cut it up. Kenny Allison was the first one to manufacture Legends Cars.”

In a nostalgic tone, Allison also spoke on the rise of the Legends cars and how they were manufactured within a time crunch. He expressed, “What happened was Humpy called me, and they were trying to have that race at Charlotte and Rodney Combs was building the car at that time and they were gonna have that car ready and he wanted to know, could my son do? Ask him and not me.”
“Kenny agreed to do it and they finished making the last car, one hour before the race started in Charlotte. The legend race would mean, Bobby and Holly and old guys driving. Kenny Allison and Allison brothers build 780 Legends cars,” Allison concluded.
These instances where the mind rewinds back to the past and reminisces about the good old days are surely refreshing. Moreover, there is no refuting the fact that it was through the relentless support of his father that Dale Junior was able to flourish in the world of stock car racing, even though Senior was a tough nut to crack, even as a father.
