Off-track conversations with NASCAR drivers are always fun. And especially when it’s the 2022 Cup Champion’s turn to answer questions. Blessed with a baby girl in February 2022, Joey Logano is a father to three children – Hudson, Jameson, and Emilia. Although Logano is one of America’s fastest dads, keeping up with three kids would definitely be exhausting. But what if someone offered Logano a release from any one of his obligations?

In his recent interview with The Athletic, Jeff Gluck asked Logano, “You must pick one chore or obligation to do every day for a year. But if you do this successfully for a whole year, you never have to do it again for the rest of your life. So what chore do you pick?”

To this, Joey Logano replied that changing diapers is something that he might want to stay away from for the rest of his life. He explained, “Well, I’ll tell you what. This chore I’ve been doing for the last five years is changing diapers every day. (Laughs) And I don’t see the end in the near future anytime soon. So at some point, yes, I will be done changing diapers until… grandkids or my sister’s kids or something.”

Furthermore, Logano shared that although changing his kids’ diapers does not bother him that much anymore, he isn’t comfortable doing the same for someone else’s kids. He said, “It doesn’t really bother me that much anymore, though. It would if it were someone else’s kids. Changing your own kids’ crap isn’t that bad. Changing someone else’s kid? I always say no. I’ve never done it. I just say no.”

How has 2023 treated Joey Logano?

Fortunately or unfortunately, the year 2023 has been ‘almost’ good for Joey Logano. After clinching the 2022 Cup Series title, Logano was about to add another jewel to his crown. However, a last-lap caution hindered his plans of winning the Daytona 500 this Sunday.

Logano’s late-hour push could not help him beat Ricky Stenhouse Jr to the finish line. Alongside this, the 32-year-old also had an altercation with Denny Hamlin. Upset by missing the trophy even after being so close to it, Logano said in a post-race interview.

As reported by NASCAR.com, he said, “Pissed off, that’s where I’m at right now, with a little bit of a smile at least. We finished it, which is all right, but gosh, I hate finishing second in the 500. You’re so close to winning the biggest race of the year. … What do you do? It’s over now, you move on, but we were so close to winning this thing.”

However, Logano did acknowledge his team’s phenomenal efforts that helped him finish in the second position. But he did admit that not being able to win the Daytona 500 after putting forward a solid race definitely stings.
