As NASCAR switches its broadcasting from FOX Sports to NBC Sports for the rest of the season, a fan favorite will also become more of a regular fixture on the weekends. That person is Dale Earnhardt Jr, part of the NBC broadcasting team.

Interestingly, Dale Jr. recently received a question from a fan that asked him about his favorite and not-so-favorite broadcasting booths in NASCAR.

“Talladega used to be the worst one, but they got a new one now. It used to be tight and small and old,” he said.

Earnhardt Jr. then went on to describe the booth in Pocono. “The Pocono booth is okay. We kinda use a room right next to the suites, I almost tripped down the stairs.”

But then he quickly changed his opinion about the booth, “Pocono sucks.”

“Pocono’s booth is kinda tough. I almost blew my knee out one time in that booth trying to get around,” he explained. “I kind of stepped wrong, and my knee hurt for like a couple of weeks.”

“The Charlotte booth is kinda tight,” Earnhardt Jr. added.

Dale Earnhardt Jr reasons the quality of the booth doesn’t matter if…

After naming the booths or the racetracks that don’t have a good enough booth for broadcasting, the NBC broadcaster, Dale Earnhardt Jr. described what makes booths good, or if not good, worth the misery.

He explained how some booths are just older than others, but then the size doesn’t matter.

“I don’t know which one’s the best, the newer ones… I think it’s really the kind of track you have. You’re like, ‘Hey man, I love this track.’ I’m more happy to be there because of the location or the race I’m about to see,” Dale Jr. said.
