The time has come to conclude the round of 8 with the penultimate race of the 2023 playoffs at Martinsville Speedway. While Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell have booked their places in the Championship 4 round, there’s plenty to fight for at the historic 0.526-mile track. With six other drivers uncertain of their future, the race on Sunday couldn’t get any spicier.

This is the 20th time that Martinsville will be hosting a Cup Series playoff race and the fourth time that it will host the penultimate one. While there is plenty of unpredictability, Denny Hamlin who has a terrific record (two playoff victories) at the track, is one to watch for. With so much at stake, it is a race not worth missing. Here’s how you won’t.

With four drivers fighting for the final two spots, Martinsville Speedway promises a lot on Sunday. Here’s what you need to take care of while making your way to Ridgeway. Since heavy traffic is expected given an action-packed weekend, traffic is being routed to the speedway in certain patterns.

It is advisable for race fans traveling south (from Roanoke and areas north of Martinsville) on Route 220 to continue on the Route 220/Route 58 bypass past the speedway interchange. From there on, taking a right onto the access road will bring them to the speedway. With the entrance located just one mile east of the Route 220 interchange, it will help in easier access and minimize congestion.

On the other hand, fans from Danville and areas east of Martinsville could benefit by using the Route 58 Bypass. This will help them reach the track’s back gate with the multiple signboards available to guide them. Also, fans from Stuart and areas west of Martinsville will find it easier if they stay on Route 58 East and follow the directions available.

While this will help the fans reach the track safely and in a timely fashion, it is never too late if you still haven’t been able to purchase a ticket. With tickets ranging from $40 to $77 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and younger for the Cup Series race, there is still time to book your seats to witness an enthralling affair on Sunday.

And if you have done so and are looking for options to say, look nowhere else. We have curated some fine locations to help you find a comfortable stay, as close as it could be to Martinsville Speedway. Baymont by Wyndham Martinsville offers a fine stay as it stands just 4.9 miles from the track.

Another economical option lies in Econo Lodge at 1755 Virginia Ave i.e. just 5.7 miles from the track. In addition to that, there are two other alternatives that have been highly recommended. Comfort Inn at 1895 Virginia Ave and Hampton Inn Martinsville at 50 Hampton Drive offer a warm and comfortable stay.

While these are good options, Hampton Inn Eden is one to consider too. Despite it lying 12 miles away from the track, it remains a good alternative. While all these are interesting options, it all comes down to one’s personal choice.
