23XI Racing got off their 2023 season with Wallace ending the season at his career-best finish of P10. From their inception in 2021 to the end of the current season, the team has raked in a total of 5 wins, 28 top-5 finishes, and 47 top-10 finishes. As the team enters its fourth year, how are they going about their “five-year plan,” regarding which co-owner Denny Hamlin once spoke?
From signing Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick to purchasing a charter from Germain Racing, Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s brainchild, 23XI Racing, had a powerful entry into the realm of NASCAR. The foundation stone was laid in September 2020, and the team began competing in 2021.

After portraying a promising display within just two years of the team’s commencement, Hamlin showcased his confidence as he unraveled the “Five-year plan to be a championship contender” to Inc. Hamlin’s words were dripping with confidence as he felt excited about 23XI Racing’s performance.
Hamlin said, “We’ve won three races already, having started from literally nothing, and we’re already ahead of schedule. Still, the leap into running in the top five every week, to winning eight to 10 races a year as an organization… that’s a huge jump.”
Adding to this, 23XI Racing‘s consistency and improvement over the years have been commendable. Taking home two wins, 15 top-5s, and 25 top-10s in the 2023 season, the team that was once under the threat of stalling by none other than co-owner Hamlin until NASCAR changed its business model, has reaped solid benefits now.
With the steady growth of the team and no imminent issues with financial backing, 23XI Racing is climbing up the charts, really fast. Speaking of investment, the team has given a peek at their latest $16 million investment.
