Although Kyle Busch is still racing, his six-year-old son Brexton Busch is following in his footsteps. The youngster is competing in the Beginner Box Stock Car Series, and is performing exceptionally well. To be precise, he has amassed a fair number of wins under his belt, and his father, Kyle, is immensely proud.
For the uninitiated, the Beginner Box Stock series takes place at a few different 1/6-mile dirt tracks. Normally, the competitors are in the age range of five to eight. However, these cars are just a stepping stone into the bigger world of motor racing. In fact, these cars all have sponsors. Kyle Busch helped his son a little when he secured ServPro and Far Out Toys as co-sponsors for Brexton’s No. 18B car.

Last year, the younger Busch dipped a toe in the racing arena at the age of 5. In the same year, he romped to his maiden win in the Beginner Box Series. Since then, the boy has not looked back and is continuing to prove that he is just as quick as his father. Admittedly, Brexton Busch has had a few critics, but Kyle is always quick to shut them down.
Some of their criticisms centre around the child only winning because he has resources, courtesy a famous father. Nevertheless, the Busch family will be keen to prove their haters wrong and try to get their own back. If we’re being honest though, Brexton is actually a quick driver and he could soon rise up the rankings. Who knows, maybe somewhere in the long run, the Busch name will return to NASCAR.
Of course, both Kyle and Kurt Busch are still in the Cup Series. However, they are steadily approaching the twilight of their careers. When they will hang up their boots, is up to them, but Kyle Busch will be training the next generation of Buschs till then.
