In a whirlwind of torque and tension at Texas Motor Speedway, NASCAR stars Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace found themselves tangled in a high-speed game of chase, with Wallace leading and Hamlin in hot pursuit. With heated radio exchanges and a flurry of tactical plays, the racetrack resembled more of a battlefield than a venue of friendly competition.

Texas Motor Speedway, a place already marred with struggles post its 2017 reconfiguration, became the setting for an epic on-track saga, with Hamlin experiencing damages due to collisions and still managing a top-five finish in the high-stakes race.

As Kyle Larson held the lead, fireworks sparked between Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace. In an intense scuffle for the position, Hamlin managed to secure second place from 23XI driver Wallace, leaving the latter to battle the wearing treads of his left side tires. But this position came with its fair share of drama!

Behind the racing fumes and burning rubber, there was a distinct rumble—accusations and insinuations of sabotage between the Toyota teammates. “If you’re gonna let me go. Then let me go,” said a frustrated Denny Hamlin. His crew chief was equally angry, “Yeah, No doubt.” “How do we f*ck this up as Toyota teammates? How?” Chris Gabehart ranted.

Denny Hamlin, after a tumultuous race, clawed his way to a top-5 finish in Sunday’s Autotrader EchoPark 400 at Texas Motor Speedway. But it wasn’t smooth sailing.

Mid-race, a pit road collision between Hamlin and teammate dealt Hamlin’s #11 FedEx Toyota Camry a damaging blow. But that’s not all! You thought sibling rivalries were tough? Try teammates!

“It slowed our car down quite a bit. The good news is that it didn’t hit a tire, but it just caved in the right side so much that made it really slow down the straightaway and then tighten the car up quite a bit. It still is the top-3 car, but certainly not as fast as the No. 5 once we got that damage,” Hamlin explained.
