Chase Briscoe is currently in his second season in the Cup Series and with Stewart-Haas Racing. The driver recently confessed that he is still getting used to life at the top echelon of NASCAR. Among many things, he talked about trying to balance his professional and personal life. To take care of that, he is relying on the aid of his more experienced teammates, particularly Kevin Harvick.

He told the Athletic, “It’s the attention to detail — not only on the race car, but off the racetrack. Like having all your personal life, from a finance standpoint — your insurance — there’s just so many things I was so green on and had no idea about. One person I’ve really leaned on is Kevin (Harvick), because he’s done it for so many years. Kevin has been a really good example of how to do things right off the racetrack. I was late over here because I was asking him questions about, “How can I get this part of my life in check more?” Because I just don’t know; I’m so green on it all.

So far, the #14 driver has enjoyed a relatively decent start to his 2022 campaign. At the Daytona 500, he finished in a fine 3rd place, behind race winner Austin Cindric and 2nd placed Bubba Wallace. Unfortunately, he slipped down the order at the Auto Club Speedway and finished 16th. On the bright side, he is classified 5th in the championship standings.

So, he will be hard at work to try and maintain his position in the standings. In his debut season, when he was still finding his feet in the Cup arena, he finished 23rd in the championship. At the rate at which he is going, Briscoe could end up around the very top if he is able to snag a win or two along the way.
