After a few dark and testing hours, it’s drum rolls and red carpets for Bubba Wallace and the team. But what is the reason, you may ask? Well, the Cup Series driver’s documentary series released on Netflix in February 2022 has won a Sports Emmy Award for an Outstanding Documentary Series (Serialized). It is a big achievement for Wallace and the team. But do you know who else is over the moon as the news broke? Wallace’s biggest support was his wife, Amanda Wallace.

‘Race: Bubba Wallace’ is a six-part documentary series that was released last year. The series follows the only full-time African-American driver in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2020 during a turbulent time. It was a time when Wallace stood up for a big change amid the ongoing racial injustice in America. The Confederate Flag stood for slavery and racism, and Wallace called NASCAR for its banishment from the sport. Other than that, the docuseries also covers his journey with team 23XI Racing, which is owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin

Amanda takes pride in her husband Bubba Wallace’s achievement

Wallace’s life was closely covered in the documentary, and it would certainly not have been easy for him to show that to the world. In light of this, we also saw him being vulnerable in front of his fans by revealing his struggles with depression.

After hearing the news, his wife, Amanda Wallace, couldn’t be more excited and proud of him. She took to her Instagram today and shared the video from The Sports Emmy page in her story.

She wrote, “Wow! Amazing, @bubbawallace the Sports Emmy winner.”

Amanda Wallace has always been the biggest supporter of her husband. She has stood by her man like a rock in all the good times, and most importantly, the bad times. The couple dated for around five years before getting engaged. They tied the knot on New Year’s Eve with close friends and family stepping into the year 2023 in style. Their wedding was the talk of the town as it had a lot of surprises for the guests.

Bubba Wallace and his wife share a beautiful relationship. While he is already struggling to get his first win of the season, he has recently endured something disturbing and unexpected. Wallace was subject to racist comments at the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway this past weekend. An unknown person tapped into his radio during the race and passed a hateful remark.

Luckily Wallace could not hear any of it, but the audio from the incident found its way online and fans are not happy about it at all. While NASCAR is doing a full investigation into the radio breach, fans seem to be concerned. During this entire time Wallace’s wife, Amanda, has been a backbone for him.
