Despite being in the Craftsman Truck Series for three seasons, Hailie Deegan with her 2023 season just hit an all-time low. Hoping to have a successful turnaround to make it big in the Cup Series, the Diversity Young Racer switched sides from Toyota to Ford at Thor Motorsports, which is renowned for its championship-caliber equipment and the obsession to be the best in the division. And so far, this season has been nothing but a never-ending bad dream for the aggressive driver.

The 13th Ford F-150 driver, known for her aggressive moves, crashed her way out of Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 150 at Mid-Ohio. With the young lady struggling to find her balance, fans were quick to bash her while ardent followers laid out the cover fire, defending the driver, and coming up with drastic suggestions to up her game.

What did Hailie Deegan exactly do to be called ‘Talentless’?

During the race in Nashville, Hailie and Alan hit each other on the track, eliminating both drivers from the race. While the former was heard apologizing and mentioning “she got lost”, the latter was seen upset due to the early exit and made some bold comments about Hailie.

Lawless Alan said, I don’t think there’s much to say, she’s talentless, she just sailed it off in there and it’s lap block 3.” He added, “It’s not the first time she’s wrecked me, umm she does it to fucking everybody.”

Calling a NASCAR driver a driver wouldn’t be fair. Even experienced drivers like Ross and Bubba Wallace have such incidents on track, but that doesn’t make them talentless; it makes them humans. In response to Alan’s accusations and remarks on the #13 Ford driver, NASCAR spotter, Freddie Kraft came out in Hailie’s support and said: “There’s nobody out there that’s talentless, maybe there are some that are more talented than others.”

Hailie Deegan started 26th and finished 26th in the Truck Series race at Mid-Ohio on Saturday. Much like this performance, Deegan’s 2023 has been a hard nut to crack for the 21-year-old. Ever since Darlington (9th race of this year), Deegan has consistently fallen further down the ditch, with six consecutive finishes of 20th or worse.

While all this may raise some eyebrows, the most concerning aspect is what happened in the last four races. And with NASCAR posting the actual footage of the late wreck, enraged fans bashed the young driver left and right, even asking her to quit racing. “Send Deegan to only fans and give her truck to someone who isn’t a joke,” commented a frustrated fan.

With almost everything going against her, Deegan’s playoff chance, as you would expect, is razor-thin. Amidst all the carnage and the online memes roasting her after Saturday’s race, fans have regrouped together to defend their favorite driver against online bullies.

A well-wisher had come honest words for the youngster; he wrote, “Concentrate on racing, or your window will close, young lady. Sad truth, but still the truth. Take a page from your brother, nose down to the grindstone or step aside cuz someone else wants that seat. Best of luck.”

While naysayers came up with various reasons to trash her, another fan highlighted her age, saying, “she is just about to turn 22. Her window won’t be closing any time soon.”

On the other hand, haters argued that the driver would soon hit rock bottom at this rate. To which avid fans reacted furiously, and wrote:

“who says she’s not serious? Just because you see her videos and it isn’t racing 24/7 doesn’t mean she isn’t serious. Can’t be in the Ford Sim 24/7, as it has to be shared with all the other Ford drivers across all three series. Everyone has their allotted sim time they are allowed. How’s your racing career working out?”
