As discussed, Josh Berry is a great performer in terms of racing and proved himself whenever he got the chance. But during his recent Xfinity run, things don’t work out well at the end of Pocono 225 and Dale Earnhardt Jr faced a huge loss.
Josh Berry started the race from the pole position and was impossible to lead most of the laps during the race. However, things changed for the JRM driver after #19 of Connor Mosack crashed ahead of 5 laps to end the race. Due to 5th caution, and coming at the end of the stage, the race was pushed to overtime.

During the door-to-door battle between the two lead cars, Berry made slight contact with Hill’s car and lost momentum. However, Berry was trying to control his car but, somehow he lost control and dragged his car into his teammate Sam Mayer.
Sam was having a good run and seemed like he will be able to pass leader Austin Hill as well, but content from Berry on to the number 1 car’s left door lose his momentum too. And ultimately, Dale Earnhardt’s #1 car finished second and Josh Berry finished 24th.
Following the loss of Dale Jr’s team, Josh Berry accepted his mistake and said after the race, “Tried to get away from them on a straightway and this was a little late Sam must’ve had a huge run it was hard to tell that I didn’t really I knew he had a run but I thought I covered it quick enough but obviously didn’t but yeah tough way to end for sure.”
