During the interview, when asked if he is worried about Kurt, Busch said, “this Kurt Busch not being in the race car is not Kurt Busch’s decision. It’s someone else’s. So that’s what stinks too but also that’s what keeps us from ourselves and going out there and racing hurt is those around the sport and the doctors in which he has to deal with. Yeah, it’s tough for sure.”

He added, “It’s not easy, but he’s fine. He’s I don’t know how to say this politely. But he’s not knocked himself stupid.”

“He’s, he’s very well aware of the decisions and the repercussions of those that he’s making. So I give him full vote or full credit for making those.”

Another potential playoff spot emerges as Kurt Busch pulls out of the playoffs amid injuries

However, if some other driver, gets lucky enough to secure the win, Blaney and Truex might not qualify for the playoffs. Another driver everyone has their eyes on to challenge for the final two spots in the playoffs is Bubba Wallace.

The 23XI racing team’s driver has previously been relatively good at the Daytona races, consistently appearing in second place in his last two races at the track. He is hopeful to make it work given his record at the track.
