Eddie Troconis was the crew chief of one of the teams in the NASCAR Truck Series. Now he faces up to 10 years in prison for his assault on Jennifer Jo Cobb’s spotter Clayton Huges. However, he is yet to be formally sentenced. But would most likely get the verdict for his supposed jail time by the 27th of February next year.
What led to the assault?
The incident took place last year when Troconis, who was still legally married to Cobb, assaulted spotter Hughes. Although Troconis and Cobb were technically married, the couple had been separated long before.

Troconis allegedly came up from behind the spotter and punched him in the back of the head. Once Hughes was on the ground the Truck Series driver’s former husband repeatedly kicked the spotter and even landed a kick on his head.

Since the beating, Hughes has reported that he has gone through some life-changing injuries. It was reported that most of those injuries were permanent in nature. He also mentioned how he was not able to perform basic motor functions or control his bladder anymore.
The main reason seems to be the fact that Hughes had apparently begun dating Cobbs after she separated from her husband. This might have led to Troconis deciding to take up such a violent action against the Truck Series spotter.
