Earlier, Bristol Speedway authorities announced that they will be renouncing the dirt track, a controversial topic of discussion in the community for some time now. Instead, they will put forth two concrete track races in 2024 that will prove advantageous for the Cup Series races. Kenny Wallace is a big fan of dirt track racing. Having followed the footsteps of the legendary Tony Stewart, he has gotten deep into that segment. However, that discussion was for another day on his show.

He discussed his experience at Bristol and revealed, “To me, Bristol’s back.”

“I was there. I was at Bristol and I’m gonna tell you why I think Bristol’s back. Because we did the trackside live show and you fans were incredible. You showed up. I mean, it was packed, it was standing room only. I’d have to say we had a couple two thousand people out there.”

He then displays pictures of a jam-packed event with all the fans attentive and excited to watch their favorite NASCAR stars up close and interact with them. Kenny continued the conversation, admiring the fans for their support, saying, “I’ve got some still pictures of the crowd. Look at this crowd. Unbelievable look at that. We got a really nice one-hour show that trackside live show it kicks b**t.”

Such events are important for NASCAR to build on their connection with the fans, bridging the distance between the drivers and the fanbase. Drivers finding time off their hectic schedules is a great gesture that also gives rise to light-hearted moments.

Continuing the conversation, Kenny mentions the personalities from various fields of life present at Trackside Live. Kenny Wallace has always been a man for the fans, addressing their grievances and even ranting out at their opinions at times.

“We had great drivers you know, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott, Kurt Busch, we had them all out there and then we had the great hot dog-eating champion,” added Kenny. Chestnut hasn’t lost the Nathan’s title since 2005 and has set a record of eating 62 hotdogs in a mere 10 minutes.

Now that’s one great limit to eating one can have. Kenny was surprised at Chestnut’s ability as he claimed, “We had Joey Chestnut. Joey was there and of course, he kicked my b**t eating wings, and man, he’s an animal. Joey Chestnut, I mean he can eat and he just inhales the food.”
