Ahead of Chase Elliott’s arrival into the sport, his father was a reigning icon. Awesome Bill from Dawsonville, that’s what fans would call him. Bill Elliott left a lasting legacy on the sport and now his son is on the path to do the same. However, the Chase Elliott story would not have been possible, if Bill wouldn’t have met Chase’s mother. So who was Chase’s mother and how did Bill meet her?

It would be surprising fact for many fans that Chase Elliott’s mother, Cindy Elliott was not all into the racing. However, her story appears to have been settled with a stroke of luck. Back in 1988, when Bill Elliott clinched his first Cup Championship, he met his future wife, Cindy for the first time during a photoshoot.

Cindy used to be a photographer working for clients such as Budweiser, and Elliott was sponsored by the alcoholic beverage manufacturer during that period of time. That is probably the time when the two possibly found a connection between each other and soon by the year 1992, the pair had tied the knot.

The future Elliott and continuity of the legacy

In the year 1995, Cindy gave birth to a son named Chase. Over the years, Cindy would remain close to Bill throughout his racing career, which ended at Daytona back in 2012.

But as Bill’s career came to a close, it was time for his prodigal son to rise. Chase joined the NASCAR Cup Series in 2016 and since then has been able to win the championship once. Had Cindy not met Bill while jugging through her client work, perhaps we would have never witnessed the legend of Chase Elliott today. Who knows what would have happened? The Elliotts are a close-knit family and we hope that Chase can continue wielding that Elliott name to greater heights as the Hendrick Motorsport driver will surely push for another championship, when the next season arrives.

Chase did have the chance to win it all over again this year, however, due to few on track circumstances, he wasn’t able to do so. However, that isn’t the end of it, Elliott is still young and can surely push himself next season and beyond.
