The NASCAR world is pumped up for the Cup Series season to start. There is already a lot of noise for various reasons from the race at The Clash at the Coliseum recently. But there is something else cooking on the tracks between Alex Bowman and Michael Jordan‘s recent addition to his race team.

Travis Pastrana will be making his debut in the Cup Series this year at Daytona 500 with legend Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing team. He has vast experience in driving vehicles which gives him leverage as a competitor across motorsport. The Hendrick Motorsports star Bowman owns a Dirt Midget and Sprint car racing team named Alex Bowman Racing.

Bowman recently took Pastrana to witness something for the first time in his life. Pastrana, as excited as he was, got the shock of his life. Bowman, who enjoys driving sprint cars, made the 23XI racer experience the race live on the tracks. Pastrana posted a story on his Instagram with a video of the cars racing. He added in the caption, “@alex_bowman this is crazy! First time watching a sprint car in person. Hard pass for me. Modified’s are quick enough for now.” Though he has a lot of experience with various styles of motorsport, this one, in particular, is not on his list. It certainly looks like the boys were having a good time before the race season seriously begins.

Being such a motorsport enthusiast, he also runs a show called Nitro Circus and the rallycross racing series Nitro Rallycross. He has experienced NASCAR racing previously for almost three years, which also led him to make his own team, but he later quit NASCAR in 2013.
