In his illustrious career, there is very little that Jeff Gordon hasn’t seen. With over 20 years of racing, he has been part of some of the most significant NASCAR events. With over 800 races, 93 wins, 325 top-fives, and 477 top-tens, Jeff Gordon definitely was a beast in the NASCAR Cup Series. However, post his retirement, the #24 car struggled with his replacement and eventually went ahead with William Byron. While Byron was the selected one, it sure came with a lot of responsibility and pressure.
Replacing Gordon was never easy, but so far the 25-year-old has done a decent job. With six Cup Series wins to his name, Byron has a long way to go and he certainly has the age on his side. Recently, he was involved in a notorious act as he tempted the NASCAR fanbase with a cryptic video on Twitter.
Bryon’s post displayed a throwback from 25 years back when NASCAR celebrated its 50th anniversary. It read, “25 years ago @JeffGordonWeb drove the @NASCAR 50th Anniversary car. Think it’s time to bring it back?” It was in 1998 that the three-time Daytona 500 winner was seen driving the anniversary car with a unique paint scheme. The #24 car grabbed all the attention with the scheme when he took part in the NASCAR All-Star Race.
